Frequently Asked Questions
SML Academy Questions
May I enroll in only one level?
Yes. Each level is a complete TBT professional-development program. The full progression is recommended, but learners may begin at the level appropriate to their experience and responsibilities.
Is the Academy completely self-paced?
No. Each level includes 32 hours of guided self-paced learning and twelve two-hour live virtual sessions (24 live hours). Missed live sessions are handled case by case by the instructor, with approved equivalent learning and documented feedback when appropriate.
What is required to pass?
Learners must earn at least 80% on the instructional assessment components and satisfactorily complete required reflections, assignments, participation, and the applied project.
What if I cannot use my workplace for the project?
TBT provides an equivalent fictional Florida case pathway. When practical, TBT may also help identify a sponsored project location, but outside access is not guaranteed or required.
Who helps with registration or technical difficulties?
Cindy Torres, Customer Service Manager, assists with registration guidance, course administration, technical difficulties, certificate questions, and routing learners to the appropriate TBT staff member.
